Ghana’s U17 girls team are
scheduled to play Nigeria in a two-legged international friendly before 2014 FIFA
U17 Women’s World Cup finals in Costa Rica.
The Nigerian Ladies went on an open screening late in the year under the supervision of Bala Nkiyu and Anne Chijiene. They are expected to resume in the early weeks of January to fine tune preparation for the FIFA Cadet Women tournament.
The Black Maidens, who finished third in the Azerbaijan edition will start
preparations for the tournament next year.
Ghana have been drawn in a
tough group alongside North Korea, Germany and Canada.
Nigeria’s Flamingoes drew China,
Mexico and Colombia in Group D.
The 2014 FIFA U17 Women’s
World Cup will be played between 15 March and 4 April.
