I'm not a bad boy says Gbolahan Salami

Shooting Stars striker Gbolahan Salami said that he is not a bad boy as media try to picture him. According to him his actions are often misinterpreted.
Salami was one of the best players of 3SC last season. He scored 6 goals, but also was often controversial and problems were surrounding him.

For instance in August he was punished by the club for not showing up to training sessions. Yet the player always has an explanation to his rather weird actions.

''There are a lot of things that happen to a football player that makes him to react negatively at times. We are all human beings and we can react at times to injustices and bad treatments from club and match officials, but when that happens they will then call the player a bad guy.

''For instance, when you sign a contract with a club and the club fails to pay you or fulfil its side of the contract but still puts immense pressure on you to perform well and score goals.

''These are the problems that I often face and people now call me names''. - revealed unhappy Salami quoted by a reliable voice.

The popular striker also thanked Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi for giving him opportunity to fight for the place in squad at African Nations Championship.
