PSG will be high up if Messi is available says Zlatan

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is sceptical about rumours Lionel Messi may leave Barcelona, but expects Paris Saint-Germain to ‘be there’ if he does come on to the market.

Speculation in Spain and France has listed PSG as one of a number of clubs in Europe in line for a possible bid for the 26-year-old star amid quiet rumours that he may be unsettled at the Camp Nou for uncertainty over an improved contract.

For PSG’s leading forward, who spent a season in Catalonia with the Argentine, should he become available, he expects his current side to be involved in the bidding.

“If Messi is on the market, PSG will be there, you have to dream big, you have to dream about Messi,” Ibrahimovic has told Le Parisien today.

“I do not know his situation, he is happy in Barcelona. It is the media that is creating this atmosphere. In terms of the real story, only Messi has the answer.”

Ibra also commented on PSG’s upcoming midseason friendly with Real Madrid set for January 2 in Qatar.
“I feel great for this game. It will be a great match between two great clubs, a great opportunity for the people of Qatar.

“It could be like a Champions League Final, but fortunately it is a friendly between two major clubs and I hope that we win.”
