Super Eagles forward emulates French legend

Emmanuel Emenike is a great player, but this time he is being compared to famous Frenchman Zinedine Zidane not because of his skills, but due to an headbutting incident in derby game against Besiktas.
Probably everyone who is interested in football remembers the World Cup 2006 final, where Zidane headbutted Marco Materazzi and was sent off the field. It seems like Emenike might have done similar thing.

The Super Eagles striker scored a goal for Fenerbahce as his team drew 3-3 against Besiktas on Saturday, but also attacked The Black Eagles captain Tomas Sivock with his head.

Everything started when Emenike fell down in the penalty box after Sivok's tackle and he demanded a penalty kick, but the centre referee decided it was a clean intervention.

Some minutes later the Nigerian striker decided to punish Sivok on his own and headbutted him.

For his action he was given a yellow card, but probably he won't get away with it so easily when the Turkish Football Federation review this case.

Emenike will probably face a lengthy ban and maybe even a fine. TFF will meet this week to judge the incident and other controversial issues from the weekend games in Turkey.
