La Roja beat the African country in a controversial friendly in November, but El Confidencial have claimed that the game will not be recognised by the governing body.
Regulations suggest that matches can be refereed by local officials, but that has to be reported to FIFA within a certain date.
The paper believes though, that Equatorial Guinea failed to tell the authorities about Joaquin Esono and so the result has been discounted from the records.
This mainly hurts Marc Bartra, who made his debut in the match. That has however, now been scratched from the records.
