Super Eagles news

Super Eagles Send Brazilian Team, Guarani Packing
The Nigeria Federation after holding consultations with manager Stephen Keshi has selected Vitoria Hotel Concept Campinas as the Team Base Camp Hotel of the Super Eagles during the mundial.

Throughout their stay in Brazil, the Super Eagles will train at Estádio Brinco de Ouro, home ground of  Guarani Futebol Clube  , a Serie C club.

There will be no league matches in Brazil when the World Cup starts but the stadium has to undergo some improvements and will be inactive as from March next year.

Guarani FC must find a temporary ground for the beginning of next season and the Board is considering Jaguariuna, Hortolandia and Paulinia , informs globoesporte.globo.com.
“Unfortunately we do not use the Brinco de Ouro. It was not something we’d like, but we have to give for a selection.
I hope the fans can support the team anywhere,”said manager of Guarani, Marcio Fernandes.

To meet Fifa standards, there will be modifications to the pitch, press room and dressing rooms.

The Portugal National Team will also be camped in Campinas.
