Super Eagles striker strikes for Turkish side

Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike scored one of the goals in Fenerbahce's easy 4:0 victory over Akhisar Belediyespor.

The 26-year-old striker scored the first goal of the game in the 43rd minute. Nigerian striker picked up the ball about 30 yards away from goal, ran into the penalty area and despite the presence of a defender next to him, precisely put the ball into the far corner.

Fenerbahce had a perfect opportunity to score 17 minutes earlier, but Dutchman Dirk Kuyt missed the penalty.

The visitors, who were forced to play with 10 men already in 24th minute, when Malian defender Ibrahima Sonko picked his second yellow card and had to leave the pitch were no match Fenerbahce, and conceded three more goals after the break, courtesy of Sow, Webo and Bruno Alves.

Emenike has scored six goals in 14 league matches he played and is club's third best goalscorer.

Fenerbahce with 38 points in 15 matches comfortably sit top of the table, 11 points above second-placed Kasimpasa.
