Macauley Christantus stakes claim for Eagles shirt

2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup top scorer Macauley Chrisantus scored one of the goals in Las Palmas' 3-1 away victory against Recreativo Huelva.
Chrisantus scored the first goal of the game, in the 22nd minute. The hosts were already down to 10 men at that time, as defender Cifu was sent off for a foul on the Nigerian, 8 minutes before the goal.

Huelva pegged back two minutes later, thanks to a goal scored by Joselu, but they were unable to hold on to the draw, as veteran midfielder Valeron scored the second goals for Las Palmas on 40 minutes.

Spanish midfielder Nauzet sealed the victory from penalty in the 50th minute. In the 60th minute the fans and the players of both sides witnesses a horrific event, as Valeron was hit in the head and lost consciousness for a wihle.

The Spaniard had to be transported to a hospital, but according to the reports he is feeling fine. The victory lifted Las Palmas to the fifth place in the league. Chrisantus is the club top scorer with seven goals in 14 matches.
