One-time Technical Director of Nigeria Football Federation, Chief Kashimawo Laloko turns 70 on Tuesday, March 17.
Born on March 17, 1945 into the Laloko family of Igbore Abeokuta, Kashimawo Laloko was educated at Abeokuta Grammar School, Technical College, Akoka and Hull University, United Kingdom among others.
Holder of a diploma in sports management and administration, Laloko was awarded honorary doctorate degree in sports administration by the Bradley University, Illinois, United States of America for his contribution to the development of youth football in Nigeria and the African continent.
After serving as Venue Competition Manager at the FIFA World Youth Championship Nigeria 1999 and as Technical Director of The Gambia, Laloko founded the popular and highly-regarded Pepsi Football Academy, of which he is director. He is also the proprietor of The Football College, Orile-Imo, Abeokuta.
Laloko was recently installed the Olori-Parakoyi of Egbaland by His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Michael Adedotun Gbadebo, the Alake of Egbaland.
