Draw Was Fair Says Amokachi

Nigeria caretaker boss Daniel Amokachi said a 1-1 scoreline against Bafana Bafana was a fair result despite conceding late on in Nelspruit.

The Super Eagles looked to be heading to victory when Ahmed Musa broke the deadlock with a powerful strike in the 85th minute at Mbombela Stadium.

However, Bongani Zungu equalised for the hosts - who earlier had a penalty saved by debutant goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi - in stoppage time when he pounced on the rebound from close range.

Amokachi said: "It is fair result, coming away from home after losing to Uganda [1-0 at home] . Ninety-eight percent of the players are having their second or third game.

"It is fair result but when winning and conceding is not good. But that's football, that's what happens, it's not over until the fat lady sings," concluded the former Everton striker.
