Oshoala Set For Official Liverpool Debut

Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala is set to make her official debut for Liverpool Ladies in an English Women's FA Cup match against Birmingham City Ladies on Sunday afternoon.


The 20-year-old has been training with the side since she joined them from Rivers Angels on 23rd January, 2015

She is reported to have shown great technical abilities in applying the coach’s instructions on the field in the series of friendly matches she has played for the reigning league champions. 

The FC Robo product played for Rivers Angels in Nigeria last season and had a remarkable 2014, where she led the Nigerian U20 women’s team to a second place finish at the 2014 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, emerging as the Most Valuable Player and Top Scorer.

She also helped the Nigerian senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons to win the 2014 Africa Women championship, also emerging as the Most Valuable Player.

She was crowned the best player in Africa on 8th January, during the 2014 CAF African player of the year award ceremony.

She was also crowned as the best young player on the continent.
