The Nigerian embassy in Senegal will Thursday night host the country’s U20 team, the Flying Eagles, to a dinner in Dakar.
“The ambassador has graciously invited us for a dinner at her residence,” disclosed team secretary Ibrahim Aliyu Auwal.
Last week, the ambassador, Katyen-C.Jackden, already visited the team at their hotel and organized for the team to be served Nigerian dishes.
After hard-fought derby against rivals Ghana on Wednesday, the Flying Eagles observed Thursday as a free day as they went on a sight-seeing tour of Dakar.
They will also be at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium later Thursday for the second semifinal between hosts Senegal and Mali.
The Flying Eagles will play their ninth AYC final on Sunday. The game will get underway by 7.30pm local time, which is 8.30pm in Nigeria.
