The senior international friendly between Nigeria and South Africa at
the Mbombela Stadium, Nelspruit on Sunday will now start at 3.30pm
South Africa time (2.30pm Nigeria time).
Only five members of 2013 African Cup of Nations squad are in the young contingent that flew into Nelspruit on Saturday morning – Kenneth Omeruo, Ahmed Musa, Ogenyi Onazi, Azubuike Egwuekwe and Godfrey Oboabona.
Leader of Delegation, Felix Anyansi-Agwu, said as the team headed to training on Saturday afternoon: “We are here for serious business. No match between Nigeria and South Africa is a friendly. They always put all their effort into it, and that is why we also have to do the same.
“The defeat to Uganda in Uyo was quite painful, and the players know the only way Nigerians can forgive them for that mishap is to defeat the Bafana Bafana.”
