Ngoufonja led two other officials on the special tour tagged ‘FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015 Live Your Goals Tour,’ which is making its way round all the 24 nations that have qualified for the 7th edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup taking place in Canada, 6th June – 5th July this year.
“We are very much delighted at the arrangements made by the NFF for this tour, and the programme put in place to receive the trophy was perfect,” the official said after the women friendly football match organized for the tour at the Legacy Pitch, Surulere, Lagos on Monday.
He also spoke of his personal pride at handing over the original trophy to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, at an event inside the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos on Sunday evening.
