Wikki Tourists Moves To Reduce Playing Staffs

The chairman of Wikki Tourists FC, Suleiman  Abdullahi Chindo, has said that plans are under way by the management of the club to reduce the number of players in the team to 25 from the 35 registered for the 2014/2015 season to enhance players’ pay package, welfare and health condition.

Chindo who made the revelation while chatting with sports writers in Bauchi expressed optimism that with calibre of talented players and experienced technical crew led by Abdu Maikaba the team will surely secure continental ticket at the end of the season.

Chindo commended Bauchi SWAN for organising such a forum and he also thumbed up the Nigerian referees for the good start to the league urging them not to derail in their bid to rid the country’s football of poor officiating.

Chindo also praised the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for sponsoring some referees and coaches for refresher courses outside the country hoping that this will result in optimum performances from the referees and coaches in the league this season.

The Wikki chairman further appreciated the Bauchi State Government for its financial and moral support to the team. Chindo also appealed to Governor Isa Yuguda to kindly make funds available to make the team more productive this season.
