Players and officials of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri resumed on Tuesday in Maiduguri and had training ahead of their Federation Cup fixture against Nigeria National League side Wikki Tourists of Bauchi.
The Desert Warriors had a light training as only 10 players resumed on the first day.
Team captain Bamai Bukar was on ground with nine other players for the training. Speaking after the teams' training, Bukar said the team will have a full house before weekend.
"I am happy with the number of us that resumed today (Tuesday). By the grace of Allah we hope to have a full house before Thursday or Friday," said Bukar.
The Borno based team media officer, Anthony Obaseki confirmed to SL10 that Elkanemi went on break on the 15th of this month after the teams' week 19 Premier League match against Rangers Int'l of Enugu which they won by 2-1.
The new players invited to join the team will resume next week.
Desert Warriors manager, Salisu Yusuf who left Enyimba to team up with Elkanemi early this season declined to reveal the identities of the invited players but promised to unveil them when the time is right.
"I cannot name their names now because we must finish all arrangement before we unveil the new players," Salisu said after the light training in Maiduguri.
