A hosts of Nigeria Premier League clubs are plotting a swoop for Enugu
Rangers striker, Osaguona Ighodaro, ahead of the resumption of the
second stanza of the Nigeria championship.
The 22-year-old has set his sights on remaining at the Flying Antelopes
, but will depart the cash-strapped side in the coming weeks if they do
not satisfy him financially.
It is understood that Enyimba, Lobi Stars, Sunshine Stars, Warri Wolves
and Nasarawa United have made attempts to secure the signature of the
attacker.
''It is not certain I will leave Rangers. If Rangers don't meet my
demands, I might change clubs in the second half of the season.
''Almost all the top clubs in the Premier League that are doing well
have been calling me to sign for them,'' Osaguona Ighodaro said to
SL10.ng.
He is being courted because teams have taken note of his goalscoring
exploits for the Flying Antelopes, with 10 goals against his name before
the league went on recess.
''I believe my personal training has paid off. Even though Rangers are
not where we want to be in the standings, as a player you have to remain
professional and do your personal job by working hard,'' he concluded.
So far, the highlight of his season was the hat-trick he netted in the 3-3 draw with Gombe United last month.
