With 72 hours to go before Nigeria stage an attempt to remain at the
Brazil 2014 World Cup, the Super Eagles had a light training session on
Tuesday evening at Estádio Brinco de Ouro.
After sharing the spoils with Team Melli, the Super Eagles find
themselves in the same situation as they were at the 2013 African
Nations Cup, where they played a 1-1 draw with Burkina Faso in their
opening fixture.
Coach Stephen Keshi did not look for scapegoats after the goalless draw
at Arena da Baixada, Curitiba, and has started preparing for the next
game.
On Tuesday, the players spent most of the day in their rooms until the
team coach left the Vitoria Hotel Concept around 17h30 for recovery
training which lasted less than an hour.
Needing rest after the demanding encounter with Iran, the squad skipped
their usual fitness training at the Vitoria Hotel Concept gym.
The Super Eagles will have their last training session at Estádio
Brinco de Ouro on Wednesday evening at 17h30 before embarking on the 776
- mile journey to Cuiabá.
Due to a foot injury, Godfrey Oboabona did not practice with the rest
of the squad, and it is confirmed he will not be on parade at Arena
Pantanal on Saturday.
