Obi fails to make Opta list

Despite John Obi Mikel's man of the match award against Iran, no player Super Eagles player was rated good enough to be on the FIFA top 10 performers so far in the World cup.
 
While Obi Mikel failed to get into the top 10, Iran’s Mehrad Pooladi was rated second overall on the list with a 9.7 rating.
 
Ghana's John Boye was the highest ranked Africa player after getting a 9.45 rating in Ghana's 2-1 loss to USA.
 
According to OPTA the Rennes defender attempted 44 passes and completed 91% of those passes during the Ghana – U.S.A game.
 
In addition, Boye won five of his seven duels in defense and made an impressive eight recoveries, eight clearances and one block in  Ghana’s group G opener against the United States of America.
 
Germany and Bayern Munich forward, Thomas Muller topped the list as the best player at the tournament thus far after amassing a rating of 9.75.
