Contrary to media reports that Chelsea winger Victor Moses has been
injured, given his absence in the 1-0 win against Bosnia and Herzegovina
and the 2-3 loss to Argentina, sl10.ng have exclusively gathered that
Moses isn't injured.
According to a very reliable source inside the Super Eagles camp, the
relationship between coach Stephen Keshi and Moses is strained, hence
his omission from both games.
According to the source who spoke on the condition of anonymity says,
"contrary to what people are saying, I can reliably inform you that
Victor Moses isn't injured."
"He refused to join the team during the warm-up session before the
Argentina game after learning he won't be a starter." The source
revealed.
Moses has had a poor year, failing to get regular playing time while on
loan at Liverpool last season, but made Nigeria's world cup squad all
the same.
But it looks like things might be going from bad to worse for him.
According to our source, “The idea of sending him home from the squad
has been discussed. But it might be difficult to implement, now that
Babatunde Michael has been ruled out of the world cup."
Nigeria progressed to the round of 16 for the first time in 16 years
despite losing 2-3 to Argentina and will face former champions France in
Brasilia next Monday.
