Enugu Rangers supremo, Paul Chibuzor, has expressed his delight at Ejike Uzeonyi's World Cup call-up.
The 26-year-old winger was called up as a late replacement for Monaco
fullback, Elderson Echiejile, who suffered an injury during the tune-up
game against Greece, and is expected to spend at least two weeks on the
sidelines.
''Yes, Ejike Uzoenyi has left for Brazil. He left yesterday night.
Everybody is happy with the decision of the Nigeria Football Federation
and the coaches.
''The Most Valuable Player at the last African Nations Championship, I
don't see why he was left behind in the first place,'' says a delighted
Paul Chibuzor to SL10.ng.
Adding to his previous statement, Paul Chibuzor said : ''Ejike is a
very nice guy that knows his job. Finally, God has answered his prayers
and ours that he will be among the crew that will represent our country
in Brazil.''
Mamelodi Sundowns-bound Ejike Uzoenyi was part of the 23 - man squad
that won the 2013 African Cup of Nations held in South Africa.
