Bayelsa Queens forward Rafiat Sule has expressed excitement at the
Nigeria Women Premier League week 3 match against Pelican Stars at the
Krisdera Stadium on Saturday.
Rafiat is desperate to replicate the form of last season, when she netted 4 goals in more than 10 appearances for the Moses Adikwu tutored side.
After two games, the Yenegoa based team is yet to score and the petit striker is keen to open her account on Saturday.
“We have been working hard since the league started but despite the setback we will try to play our normal game,” Rafiat told futbalgalore.blogspot.com on Thursday morning.
“We have been here since Wednesday. The main thing is to get used to the playing surface which is quite different from our home ground (Samson Siasia Stadium), which is being refurbished.
On the team's early season dip in form, Rafiat said: It doesn't change anything, it was just a one-off and I hope we kickstart our season with victory against Pelican Stars on Saturday.
“We are going to make sure we grab the three maximum points at stake and pick some on the road. At the end of the day, it will help us,” she declared.
