Barcelona Send Scout To Run The Rule Over Isaac Success

Scouts representing Barcelona were in the stands to run the rule over Isaac Success when Granada II took on La Roda in a Segunda B Division clash on Sunday.

Immediately after the Nigeria youth international put himself in the shop window at the CAF Under 17 championship, Barcelona, Chelsea as well as Lille were interested in his acquisition.

At a stage, the Azulgranas were in pole position for the 18-year-old's signature but the Spanish team delayed in backing their interest with an official bid to Megap Soccer Academy and this threw a spanner in the works.

Serie A campaigners Udinese later moved quickly to offer the highly rated teenager a four - year deal which started running this January.

The Barcelona scouts who watched the game at the Estadio Municipal (La Roda) were impressed with Isaac Success's qualities and are now rueing their decision not to offer him a deal earlier on.

Six minutes after his introduction, the Nigerian starlet registered his name on the score-sheet to give Granada a 1 - 0 advantage.

''Success showed how powerful and fast he can be on a couple of occasions.”

He was always in the 18 - yard box, passes well and courageous in his battle with defenders. We will keep following his development this year,'' the Barcelona scout said.

Isaac Success would be hoping to make his home debut on Friday when Granada II entertain Cacereno in the 32nd round.
