Former Inter Milan super kid Isah Eliakwu has been undergoing tests with RoPS since the start of the week with a view to landing a deal at the end of the exercise.
The 28 - year - old last represented Anzhi Makhachkala but he did not make any breakthrough at the Russian Premier League outfit before his departure in 2012.
And since then his search for a new team has taken him to Russia (FC Mordovia Saransk), Israel (Hapoel Haifa), Bulgaria (Chernomorets) and Georgia (FC Guria Lanchkhutia) without success.
Speaking to the official website of RoPS, marketing and sports chief Jari Ilola said: ''Eliakwu has strong qualities and he has played in competitive leagues. Therefore, he certainly has potential but the current condition must be seen.''
In addition to his unremarkable stint with Anzhi, Isah Eliakwu previously donned the colours of Inter Milan, Ascoli, Triestina , Spezia, Gallipoli and Varese.
