Emmanuel Emenike Walking The Walk, Nets Brace In Fenerbahce Win‏

It is now clear that Emmanuel Emenike is walking the walk and not talking the talk after he bagged a brace in Fenerbahce's 3 - 0 defeat of Gaziantepspor on Monday night.

Just last week, the Super Eagles marksman set himself a target of at least 9 league goals before the end of the season.

And following his pair of goals against Gaziantepspor, he now has to score 7 more times before accomplishing his mission.

It took Emmanuel Emenike 10 minutes to open his account at the Kamil Ocak Stadium, making good use of a pass from strike partner Dirk Kuyt to put the Yellow Canaries in front.

After 34 minutes, he capitalized on the indecisiveness of Cameroon international Gilles Binya to fire past Gaziantepspor goalkeeper Zydrunas Karcemarskas to give Fenerbahce a two - goal cushion.

Moussa Sow added more gloss to the score line by scoring his ninth of the season in the 76th minute.

Not taking into account his cancelled goal against Trabzonspor, Emmanuel Emenike has notched up 11 goals in 22 games.

His goal scoring record in a single season is 16 which he set while defending the colours of Karabukspor four years back.

Fenerbahce continue to top the Super Lig standings with 57 points, 7 more than Istanbul rivals Besiktas who occupy the second position.
