Aneke gets high marks in England

Crewe Alexandra midfielder Chuks Aneke was the subject of praise from manager Steve Davis after he netted his third brace of the season against Gillingham in the 38th round of matches in League One.

The 20-year-old , one of the key figures for the Railwaymen, netted in the 5th and 53rd minute in the 3 - 1 win over Gillingham at the KRBS Priestfield Stadium.

And manager Steve Davis reckons that the Anglo - Nigerian has not reached his full potential in what many would regard as his breakthrough season in England.

Eurosport quoted Steve Davis as saying : ''I thought Uche and Chuks were tremendous in the way they battled against the centre-halves.

"Chuks took his goals tremendously well. You can see the qualities he brings to the team. He gets in great positions, he's got two great feet, he's got great strength and great balance.

"He works very hard on his game, he does extra work each day, and you can see the rewards he's getting.''

Chuks Aneke also bagged a double in games against Peterborough United and Sheffield United.

He is on loan at Crewe Alexandra from Arsenal until the end of this season.
