The 22-year-old put Mohammedan in the lead somewhat against the run of play. It was his first League goal of the current campaign.
He ran on to a Josimar da Silva through ball down the right and drilled across Abhijit Das from a tight angle. His aggressive pressing led to the opening goal, and it was a calm finish.
Orji was making his 19th League appearance for Mohammedan this term.
The hosts did get their equaliser when a free kick was not cleared effectively and Biswajit Biswas hit a missile from 12 yards into the far top corner.
