Abdul Ajagun Scoops Goal Of The Week Award

The Greece Super League in collaboration with Greek Union of Professional Football Players (PSAP) and sports radio station, Nova Sport FM has announced the winner of Goal of the Week for the top division for the last round of matches.

After votes were collated, Panathinaikos attacking midfielder Abdul Ajagun claimed the award after his match winning strike against PAS Giannina this past Sunday.

Abdul Ajagun is the second Nigerian midfielder to win this award following the footsteps of ex Aris ace Chigozie Udoji, who scoped the prize last October for his brilliant strike against Panionios in the seventh round.

The 21 - year - old's 36th minute strike polled 61.96 percent of the votes ahead of Panagiotis Vlachodimos of Platanias (20.11%) and Angelos Chandi, teammate of Dele Adeleye at Ergotelis.

Apart from his wonder goal against PAS Giannina , Abdul Ajagun also registered his name on the score-sheet in games with Panthrakikos, Platanias and Viera.

So far, he has recorded 18 appearances in the Super League and suited up 4 times for the Greens in the Cup.
