Kaduna United edge FC Taraba in Northern Derby


Second half goals from Ibrahim Sanusi and Siman Yusuf helped Kaduna United to a vital three points against FC newly-promoted FC Taraba at the Kaduna Township Stadium today with a 3-1 win.


The League Management Committee (LMC) had brought forward the match day 2 encounter between the both sides from Saturday to Friday.

The change in the fixture was to enable the host broadcasters of the Nigeria Premier League beam the match live to it's teeming viewers.

Isa Aminu struck first from the penalty spot to put United after 12 minutes.

Former Lobi Stars attacking midfielder Luther Iyorhe then converted a cross to make it level matters in the 28th minute of thrilling battle.

Two goals in the space of ten minutes made the difference for United, who had a great second half.

The result sees both sides tied on three points after two matches played.
