Former youth star shines in CAF Champions League match

Moses Orkuma got 90 minutes of action on Sunday as his Libyan team, Ahly Benghazi played a 1-1 against Berekum Chelsea in a CAF Champions League first leg clash at the Acrra Sports Stadium.

However, the committed player will miss the second leg clash in Tripoli after accumulating two yellow cards in two matches.

The Libya representatives scored in early the second half and could have wrapped up the game.

They were made to pay for their missed chances when the hosts got the equaliser late in the game.

The former Flying Eagles star, who lasted the entire match duration attributed the good result to dedication on the part of the squad.

“We had a very good game and could have won at the end, but we can hold our heads up, be dedicated and finish the job at home,” Orkuma said after the match in Accra.

On his team's chances of qualifying in his absence, the former youth international said: “We have had good preparation, so my absence won't create any gap in the group. The technical crew have enough arsenal in the armoury,” he said.
