Akande Siblings Prepare To Cross Family Swords

Nigeria National League Division B Week 6 fixture between Shooting Stars and Prime FC, pits brothers against one another in a tie promises to be one of the tightly contested pools on Saturday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
The interesting scenario will be the potential match-up of trio brothers on opposing sides, with Prime Football Club defender, Tope Akande, facing his siblings with Shooting Stars, Abiodun Akande and Niyi Akande.
Abiodun is 3SC first choice goalkeeper and stand-in captain, while Niyi, who has played for Prime in the past is a central defender.
Tope, has been an instant hit since joining the Omoluabi Giants three seasons ago and he is one of most technically gifted players.
The Akande brothers are set to become first siblings to play against each other in the 'Two Brothers Derby' and the trio will add a unique scenario as personal rivalry would add to what already should be an enthralling clash between 3SC and Prime.
“It's a derby and I think everyone understands that it's going to be a battle,” Tope stated.
