Uluocha says victory was well earned

Abia Warriors captain Chima Uluocha has said his troupes deserved their 2-0 victory over Kaduna United - as the Umuahia side were more entertaining.

"I'd like to congratulate the whole set-up; we beat them convincingly and I think we deserve the victory," said the inspirational captain who netted game's first goal via the penalty spot.

“Throughout the game, especially in the last third, we were much better than them; we used the ball skills of Chikatara and the predatory instincts of Bishop.

"I think we created a couple of chances. I really appreciate Almighty God for the victory, an elated Chima told a reliable source.

“In the second half they almost levelled up and that made us chase the game and after that the second goal came.

“We kept trying but I think the difference between the two teams was our play in the last third."

“It was a perfect beginning for us because we wanted the three points badly.

On the strengths of the former Fed Cup Kings: “They are a very strong team with very good players it was a fantastic outing for us.”

“We can perform beyond people's expectation; you can see the attacking flair and we need to continue doing this in order to grow,” he added.
