Kogi United gaffer Fatai Osho has advised the leadership of the Nigeria National League to improve on some areas in the league so as to bring a sense of equality in matches.
Speaking after his team's 2-1 loss to Prison FC in Abuja, Coach Osho expressed dissatisfaction on the officiating in the second half, noting that his boys will definitely get it right as the target to contend for the premier league ticket was still intact.
He also called on the NNL board to work on pitches used as home ground by some clubs in the league.
''This was a disappointing defeat for us, we played better today (Saturday), we dominated the game, but the officiating in the second half was questionable. We don't want to make excuses, we want to go back and see what we can correct, and we hope to get it right,'' he said.
''This is a lesson for us, they (Prison) realised what is at stake for them, they used all their tactics to the extent of withdrawing all the balls, but we have learnt from this and hope to get it right soon.”
''You don't expect us to enjoy our game enough, even though we played better than them, but we could have done more if the pitch was a better one. I think the NNL board need to do more on this area, especially in Group A.”
''When I was in Remo Stars, we had teams taken to other places to play home games, but it's not the same here, some can even play on the street now. The fans will never enjoy their money and time with a match played on this type of pitch and we will find it hard to get sponsor for the league like this,'' he said in a disappointing tone.”
''Our performance and result so far is not the way we had expected but it's not that bad. We are tidying things up at home, but we are yet to get it right in away games which I strongly believe we will sort out," Osho assured.
