Warri Wolves striker Oghenekaro Etebo is out of Sunday's CAF Confederation Cup game with CA Bizertin of Tunisia.
Etebo though is expected back in the country by Saturday from Italy where he is reported to be undergoing trials with Serie A side Udinese, but won't be able to make it for the crunch game, even though he will arrive a day before the game.
Etebo though is expected back in the country by Saturday from Italy where he is reported to be undergoing trials with Serie A side Udinese, but won't be able to make it for the crunch game, even though he will arrive a day before the game.
"He is expected back by Saturday evening from Italy, though we playing
on Sunday, he will not just walk straight into the team because he has
missed the last two weeks programming, and tactical build up ahead of
the game. We have other players in his position who are ready to step up
and this is their chance,“ a source makes Futball Galore Magazine understand.
Warri Wolves will also be without the services of Super Eagles centre
back Azubuike Egwuekwe for the encounter as the giant centre back will
be at the wedding altar a day before the game, but our source insisted
the centre back won't be sorely missed.
"In this campaign Azubuike has been in and out of the team, no thanks
to national team commitments, and now that he is supposed to be
available he is getting married. He has a big influence on our team when
he plays but we've come this far without him and we can still go
further without him.
