FC Midtjylland continue to top the standings in Denmark after defeating
Randers 3-0 away in the 24th round of games in the Superliga, with
Sylvester Igboun netting his seventh goal of the season in the 90th
minute.
Presently five points ahead of Aalborg, who have played a game less,
FCM will need to pick up seven wins from their last nine matches to win
the championship for the first time in their history, Igboun has
suggested.
''I think we need to win seven more matches if we want to win the
league. I know it is not going to be easy but I know with the kind of
team we have, we can do it and fight for the title,'' says Sylvester
Igboun.
''It is going to be highlight of my career if FCM can win the league.
Since the formation of the club, that has never happened and it would be
nice if I am part of history.
''Now there are nine more games to go and we will do everything we can to make sure we achieve our aim,'' adds the 23-year-old.
Sylvester Igboun's goal at the AutoC Park Randers was his first strike in the league for the past five months.
