Nigeria senior national women's team otherwise known by admirers as
“Super Falcons” didn't move an inch in the latest Federation
International Football Association (FIFA) rankings, but the good news is
that they still remain the best football side in Africa.
The Edwin Okon managed team retained its grip on the 34th spot after amassing a total of 1623 points in the lastest rankings released on Friday.
The Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon are ranked second in Africa with 1467 points to place 49th in the world, while Ghana completes the top 50, and her third on the continent with 1459 points.
The USA remain the top rated women team in the world with 2197 points, followed by Germany in second place with 2173 points while Asian giants Japan are placed third on the pecking order with 2076 points.
Experts have tipped the Nigerian girls to soar higher when the next ranking is released as the African Women Championship is around the corner.
