Dikko: Giwa don't understand club licensing procedure

The body saddled with the responsibility of organising the Premier League in Nigeria, The League Management Company (LMC) has reacted to the court injunction served on them by a Jos high court after the expulsion of Giwa FC from the Nigeria League, due to their failure to meet up with the LMC guidelines for club registration and participation for the 2013/2014 Glo Nigeria Premier League.

A member of the LMC, Shehu Dikko, in a chat with a reliable source said, "Giwa FC's case shows lack of understanding of Club Licensing procedure. LMC is the first instance body & can be appealed against to an Appeal Body of the NFF, the supervisory body of the LMC."

"Yes we received an injunction from the Federal High Court, Jos Division, restraining LMC/NFF from excluding Giwa FC from the NPFL but the  court order doesn't suspend the NPFL, rather it states that Giwa FC shouldn't be excluded until case is concluded."

Giwa FC and Nembe City were excluded from the NPFL opening day fixture for falling short of registration and participation requirement, the two privately own clubs, the only two in the Nigeria League are using various routes to force their way back in to the league.
