Sunday Mba was once again the hero for CA Bastia as the Ligue 2 basement club secured a one nil win over Troyes.
Mba grabbed his 5th goal of the season in the 3rd minute of play and lasted the entire duration of the game.
However, the goal wasn't good enough to lift CA Bastia off the foot of the Ligue 2 table as they remain last in the 20 team log with 17 points 14 points off safety with 10 matches to go.
Mba whose rich vein of form seems to be the bright spark in a rather dull campaign has a get-out clause that can be triggered if CA Bastia gets relegated to the 3rd Division even though his contract still runs for a further 16 months.
He has now added Troyes to the list of team he has scored against since joining CA Bastia in the winter, he has previously scored against Istres, Angers and Niort.
Sunday Mba became a household name in Nigeria when he scored the lone goal that gifted Nigeria the Africa Nations Cup trophy after 19 years, he also scored the winning goal against the Elephant of the Ivory Coast in the quarterfinals.
