Warri Wolves striker Oghenekaro Etebo is in Italy undergoing trials with Serie A side Udinese.
The 18-year-old had been scheduled to begin training with the
Bianconeri in January but the Warri Wolves brass did not sanction his
departure until Monday.
And soon after Oghenekaro Etebo arrived Italy, he was involved in a
practice game between the Udinese Primavera squad and Rep.of Srpska
Under 23s which ended in a 1 - 1 draw.
Even though he was not on the score-sheet, the teenager gave a good
account of himself and if he continues exhibiting his fine traits, he
would be offered a four-year contract at the end of the exercise.
For your information, the Italian embassy issued Etebo a three-month
visa as it was expressly stated in the invitation letter sent by Udinese
that the Nigerian starlet will train with the team for 90 days.
Therefore, it is certain that he will miss Warri Wolves CAF
Confederation Cup fixture against CA Bizertin, with the first leg
scheduled to take place in Nigeria next weekend.
Oghenekaro Etebo notched up 16 goals for the Nigeria Premier League outfit last season.
