Nigerian striker Anthony Ujah scored a second half hat-trick in Werder Bremen’s 11-0 thumping of MSV 1919 Neuruppinon on Saturday.
Ujah replaced Argentine forward Franco Di Santo, who scored a first half hat-trick in ten minutes, at the interval. The Nigerian opened his scoring in the 52nd minute of the encounter for his side’s sixth.
The former FC Cologne forward then made it nine in the 83rd minute before completing the rout three minutes later.
Goals from Assani Lukimya-Mulongoti (36′), Mateo Pavlovic (47′), Julian von Haacke (53′), Fin Bartels (63′) and Levent Aycicek in the 84th minute ensured the Green-Whites kick-started their pre-season campaign on a winning note.
