Kwara United Begin Revival Under Tunde Sanni With Away Win Over Ifeanyi Uba

Kwara United secured their first win under newly installed head coach Tunde Sanni on Wednesday when they defeated Ifeanyi Uba FC 2-1 in the week 18 of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The Harmony Warriors returned to winning ways at the Rojenny Stadium for the first time in seven games.

The win will certainly calm the nerves of Sanni who was drafted-in as the head of the technical crew after the club parted ways with Tunde Abdulrahman on Monday 13th July.

It was a perfect way for the former DSS coach to start his second stint as the head coach of Kwara United.

Okereke Maduabuchi shot the hosts ahead in the 12th minute, but the determined visitors were back on level terms through Bobga Sambo who just returned to the team after battling with illness in recent times.

The skillful Ismaila Gata beat the offside trap to lob the ball over the onrushing Chidiebere Eze and it was a goal that turned out to be the winner.

Kwara United face Giwa FC on Sunday in Ilorin
