Victor Moses could be set to star for the Chelsea first-team under Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho in the 2015/16 season.
The
24-year-old spent the 2014/15 season on loan at Stoke City but the
Potters’ manager, Mark Hughes, insists Chelsea may have fascinating
plans for Moses.
Moses had also spent the previous season on loan at Liverpool but all that is about to change, according to Hughes.
“Chelsea have taken a view on Victor and they would probably like to keep him.
“Victor
did very well for us and showed what he can offer and it could be that
Victor plays a part for Chelsea,” Hughes told the Telegraph.
The
former Wigan Athletic man will be competing for a starting shirt with
players like Eden Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Juan Cuadrado and Cesc
Fabregas should Hughes’s predictions turn out to be true.
He scored three league goals in 19 matches for Stoke last season.
Injuries
however blighted his chances last term as he suffered hamstring, hip,
thigh and muscle trouble on no less than three different stages in the
past campaign.
Moses joined Chelsea from Wigan Athletic on August 23, 2012 for €11.5 million.
