Pillars Denies Jabbary Rumours

A top official of Kano Pillars has shut down claims that Dutchman Tahseen Jabbary has applied for the vacant coaching role at the club, Futball Galore has been reliably informed.

The reigning Nigeria Professional Football League champions are currently searching for a new coach after they axed their former coach Felix Okey Emordi on Monday 20th July following a poor run of results that have left the defending champions 9th on the log and also being knocked out of the CAF Champions League and the Federation Cup.

Pillars have only garnered 27 points from 19 games - 9 points behind table toppers, Sunshine Stars.

“I must confess to you that we are yet to receive a single application for the vacant job,” the top official exclusively told Futball Galore.

Former Al Arouba gaffer Jabbary was reported to have applied for the job, but the official urged the media to source for accurate information that concerns Pillars from media spokesman Idris Malikawa.

“We don't know where the rumours emanated from, the only reliable source for Pillars news is Idris Malikawa,” he continued.

“The league is on a two-week break and the management will take a decision in the coming days on how to move the club forward.”

Ahmed 'Yaro Yaro' Garba will take charge of the team on interim basis before a new head coach is appointed.
