Super Eagles skipper blessed with MVP award

Readers of Norfolk Eastern Daily Press have voted Nigeria central defender Joseph Yobo as their man of the man in Norwich City's 1-1 draw with 10 man Stoke City.

Yobo got 65 percent of votes casted online by readers of the website mainly devoted to covering and reporting games of Norwich City.

Yobo who recently pulled out of Nigeria's friendly with Nigeria after earning a recall citing a injury complaint was on for 90 minutes and alongside captain Sebastian Bassong ensure the potters didn't get more than a goal to help Norwich stay 15th on the table, four points above the relegation spots.

Yobo who recently moved to Norwich from Fenerbache in Turkey in the Winter transfer window in a bid to book a place in Nigeria's team to the World Cup has so far made 5 appearances for Norwich City as oppose to the once he suited for Fenerbache in 6 months.

Yobo's club career has nosedived off late after a spectacular start at Everton in 2002, he is a veteran of 2 world cups and 6 Nations cup, he also holds the distinguished honour of been Nigeria's capped player with 95 appearances and despite losing his place in the Nation's cup team to Kenneth Omeruo, his cameo in the final afforded him the opportunity to lift Nigeria's first nations cup trophy in 19 years.
