Super Eagles gaffer is the number one in Africa

Stephen Keshi has been ranked the number one coach in Africa but 24th in the world by the International Football coaches statistic.

Keshi pulled 8148 points to finish ahead of Michael Dussuyer of Guinea and Ghana's Kwesi Appiah, Bob Bradley of Egypt who is ranked above Keshi has already departed his job after failure to qualify for the World Cup.

One of the Coaches whose team is in Nigeria's group for the World cup Alejandro Sabella of Argentina is the only coach in Nigeria's group ranked ahead of Keshi as he is ranked 14th with 10336 points.

However, Keshi's 24th position is not the highest ranking to have been achieved by a Nigerian coach as two years ago, ex Coach of the Super Eagles Samson Siasia was rated 13th by the same organisation.

Globally Coach Vincente Del Bosque of Spain is rated number 1 coach in the world with 25188 with Germany's Joachim Low in second position and Oscar Tabarez of Uruguay completes the top three.

Keshi qualified Nigeria for the World cup for the first time in 19 years and also took the country's B team to a bronze medal finish at the CHAN championship and has so far not lost a single game to an African team in his over two year stint as coach of the Super Eagles.
