Martins Listed In MLS XI

Nigeria international Obafemi Akinwunmi Martins has been named in the Major League Soccer (MLS) XI for the year 2014.

The fast striker got the recognition on the strength of his stellar performance for Seattle Sounders during the season.

The former Inter Milan, Newcastle United, VFL Wolfsburg, Rubin Kazan and Levante forward bagged 17 goals and accounted for 13 assists for his team.

Martins is in the running for the 2014 Volkswagen MLS Most Valuable Player award which will be presented on Wednesday 3rd December, 2014.

Also in the team is LA Galaxy captain Robbie Keane along with Lee Nguyen (New England) and Thierry Henry (New York Red Bulls).
