Ranchers Bees FC of Kaduna, on Wednesday said it petitioned the
Nigeria National League (NNL) over its decision to award its Week 30
rescheduled match to Kwara United.
The team's Media Officer, Vincent Akinbami said in Kaduna that the petition had been lodged with the Nigeria Football Federation Appeals Committee.
Akinbami said the club had asked the NFF to overturn the decision of the NNL which awarded the match to Kwara and suspended some of the club's players.
According to Akinbami, the club regards the decision of the NNL as ''interim'' pending the determination of its appeal.
He urged supporters of the club not to panic, saying justice would be done.
The week 30 match played in Kaduna, Kwara United abandoned play at 2-2, and the NNL awarded the match to Ranchers Bees.
Kwara, however, appealed to the NNL disciplinary committee which initially ordered full replay of the match, but when the Kaduna club protested, it directed the remaining 28 minutes of the match to be replayed.
Ranchers had also protested the shifting of the match venue to Abuja and the decision of the NNL to appoint a different referee to continue with the match.
During the second replay, the match was also abandoned 18 minutes into the encounter due to crowd trouble after the centre referee awarded a penalty to Kwara United.
