NFCA Boss Advice Coaches To Affiliate With The Association

The National President of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA), Bitrus Bewarang has advised all the national team coaches to ensure that they affiliate themselves with their respective State Football Coaches Association.

Bewarang who made the statement on Tuesday said this appeal has become necessary because of the recent happenings with Nigerian coaches and their various clubs; especially those on national assignments.

“It is a known fact that most of our coaches in their clubs and national teams do not have existing contracts, and when they are promised welfare packages and renumerations, these are not fulfilled and in most cases there are nothing that the Coaches Association can do about it.

“Because, these coaches do not relate with us, so there is no way we can come into their matters. But, if all the coaches are affiliated with the Association, it becomes our responsibilities to fight for our members when they are sub charged at whatever levels,” the Plateau United General Manager said.

The former National team handler went further to announce that the Association's congress slated for 29th December in Abuja has been moved to 13th January, 2015.
