Swansea To Return For Azeez

Swansea City are ready to make a £2m bid for Almeria defensive midfielder Ramon Azeez in the winter transfer window, according to reports.

A move for the Nigeria international has been on the agenda for some time but the club failed to sign the player in the summer.

The failure to bring in a box-to-box presence in the middle of the park has already made the club let-in cheap goals in English Premier League matches this season.

However, the reports claim that Garry Monk is finally ready to fill this problem area when the transfer window reopens in January and has made the former Flying Eagles captain his target.

The ambitious management team of the club have reportedly set aside the sum of £2m for the deal to be a reality.

It remains to be seen how such a bid will be received by the Spanish outfit but it’s understood that Swansea chiefs are confident their offer will be accepted.

If that turns out to be the case, it will then be down to agreeing personal terms with the player.
