Ighalo Rediscovers Scoring Touch In Thriller

Odion Jude Ighalo was back in scoring form for Watford, who inflicted another home defeat on Cardiff after coming from one goal down to win 4-2 at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The Watford number 24 opened his goalscoring account for the Hornets in the 2-1 win over Brentford at the end of September.

Adam Le Fondre gave the hosts the lead after nodding home Peter Whittingham's free-kick after 20 minutes.

Russel Slade's men looked comfortable in the lead for much of the first half, but Watford grabbed an excellent equaliser just before the break.

Gianni Munari's clever lofted ball found Adlene Guedioura on 42 minutes, with the Algerian firing home on the volley past home keeper David Marshall.

Just three minutes later, Cardiff's disappointment was compounded. In the first minute of four in stoppage time, striker Ighalo latched onto Daniel Pudil's cross with a powerful header past Marshall to give the Hornets the lead.

Guedioura and Gabriele Angella made it 4-1 in the second half, and though Kenwyne Jones' well-taken header pulled one back for Cardiff, it was too little too late.
